These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Union City Youth Sports application ("Application") licensed by Union City, NJ for managing recreational programs. By accessing or using this Application, users agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Use of the Application

The Union City Youth Sports Application is intended for parents, guardians, participants, coaches, officials, and administrators to:

-Register for Union City, NJ recreation programs.

-Manage participant accounts, registrations, and payments.

-Receive program updates and event information.

By using this Application, you agree to:

✅ Provide accurate and complete registration information.

✅ Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian permission.

✅ Use the Application only for its intended purpose.

🚫 Prohibited Uses:

You may NOT:

-Use the Application for fraudulent or unauthorized activities.

-Attempt to access another user’s account without permission.

-Post or transmit offensive, threatening, or illegal content.

-Modify, reverse-engineer, or copy the software code of the Application.

Violation of these terms may result in account suspension or termination.

2. Registration & Account Management

To register for a Union City, NJ recreational program, you must:

-Create an account with valid personal information.

-Accept the Code of Conduct and Consent Waiver.

-Ensure that all children registered meet the age and eligibility requirements for selected programs.

Union City, NJ reserves the right to reject or revoke a registration if false or misleading information is provided.

3. Payments, Refunds & Cancellations

A. Payments

-All payments for recreational programs are processed securely through Stripe.

-Payment must be completed before participation in any program.

B. Refund Policy

-Refunds may be requested in writing before the program start date.

-Refunds are subject to Union City, NJ’s recreation policies.

-No refunds will be issued for: Programs that have already started. Participants removed due to Code of Conduct violations.

C. Cancellations & Program Changes

-Union City, NJ reserves the right to cancel or modify programs due to:

-Weather conditions or facility issues.

-Low enrollment.

-Health & safety concerns.

-In such cases, participants may receive a refund or credit for future programs.

4. Code of Conduct & Participant Responsibilities

All participants, parents, coaches, and spectators must adhere to the Union City, NJ Recreation Department’s Code of Conduct.

🚫 Violations may result in suspension or removal from programs.

By participating, users agree to:

✅ Treat staff, officials, and other participants with respect.

✅ Follow facility rules and program guidelines.

🚫 Not engage in [b]harassment, threats, or unsafe behavior.

Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension from future programs.

5. Privacy & Data Protection

Union City, NJ values your privacy and handles personal data in accordance with applicable state and federal privacy laws.

-Personal information is only used for program registration and communication.

-Data is not sold or shared with third parties except as required for program administration and payment processing.

6. Photography, Media & Content Use

By participating in Union City, NJ’s recreation programs, you consent to:

📸 Photography & video recordings being taken at events.

📢 Images/videos being used for program promotion on Union City’s website, social media, and marketing materials.

If you do not consent to media use, you must submit a written request to [email protected] before the program starts.

7. Limitation of Liability

Union City, NJ and Rec Department are not responsible for:

❌ Injuries sustained during participation in recreational activities.

❌ Loss or theft of personal belongings at events or facilities.

❌ Service disruptions due to technical issues, maintenance, or external factors.

By using this Application and participating in programs, users assume all risks associated with recreational activities.

8. Termination of Access

Union City, NJ reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate any user account if:

-The user violates these Terms & Conditions.

-The user engages in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.

-There is misuse of the Application.

9. Updates to Terms & Conditions

Union City, NJ reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.

-Users will be notified of major changes via email or public announcement.

-Continued use of the Application after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
